This position is responsible for performing concurrent review in accordance with accepted department criteria; performing discharge planning and identifying alternate treatment programs; conducting episodic case management, consulting and collaborating with providers, members, and other resources as appropriate; assessing, planning, and implementing options and services require to meet an individuals health needs within the scope of their benefit plan.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– Register Nurse (RN) with current, valid, unrestricted license in state of operations or reciprocity.
– 3 years of clinical experience

– Incumbents with nursing licenses in positions/departments requiring multi-state licenses are required to obtain and maintain additional current, valid, and unrestricted applicable nursing licenses in other states as determined by management. Multi-state license fees will be provided. Incumbents with other clinical licenses are not required to obtain multi-state licenses.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– Familiarity with UM/CM activities and standardized criteria set.
– Knowledge of ancillary services including HHC, SNF, Hospice, etc.

*Training is completed through WebEx precepting. Worker should be able to hit the ground running.

Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for driving strategic activities associated with Request for Proposal (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFI) requests. By joining our team, you will be challenged to lead, research, customize, organize and synthesize information to ensure the highest quality of service is provided, while remaining consistent with the Company's policies. In addition, you will participate in the activities involved in the resolution of issues associated with the RFPs and RFIs, owning them from start to finish.
As part of a proactive and collaborative team, you will exercise strict adherence to detailed customer specifications, while also drafting proposal materials to utilize as a reference tool when completing future proposals or internal requests will be an additional responsibility.
Required Job Qualifications
*Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field OR 4 years of proposal writing experience in lieu of a degree
*3 years of proposal management experience specifically in the national/major or public sector.
*Demonstrated experience in leading complex RFPs for large, national employer groups.
*Must be proficient in quickly reviewing and analyzing proposal solicitations and related documents to pull out all pertinent information
*Demonstrated experience supporting highly customized proposal responses tailored to the client.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with ability to interface and work effectively as part of a team and cross-functionally
*Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead the proposal process from beginning to end, while working multiple RFPs/projects simultaneously
*PC skills and experience in Microsoft products.
*Verbal and written communication skills to complete Response for Proposals, coordinate activities with many departments, and incorporate layman terms in the proposal.
*Demonstrated project management, organizing, planning and scheduling.
*Demonstrated creative and business writing skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications
*Experience and skills with proposal automation software such as Qorus.

Senior Communications Specialist-IL
